The following are some of the reference standards.
– ISO 18184 Textiles – Determination of antiviral activity of textile products
– ASTM E2720 Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Effectiveness of Decontamination Procedures for Air-Permeable Materials when Callenged with Biological AerosolsContaining Human Pathogenic Viruses, and etc.
2. Evaluation items
The following items are evaluated for the outer material, lining, and heavy dust material of the mask.
1) Safety requirements for hazardous substances – submitted by the applicant
2) Safety test – submitted by the applicant
3) Antiviral performance evaluation
4) Usability evaluation (*optional)
- Applicable for reusable products and subject to the manufacturer's recommended reuse criteria
3. Antiviral performance standards
Certification review is conducted after determining antiviral performance based on the log reduction value.
